An important 16th Century Renaissance Oak Coffer of typical breakfront plinth form with superbly executed carving throughout including mask heas of mythical beasts and putti, reeded round pilasters, extravagant nude figures surmounted by eagles and flanking a central panel with a squatting satyr protected by two female gryphons: mature colour and patina.
